Frequently Asked Questions

Generally, a typical funeral package could cost anywhere from $4,000 to $8,000 depending on the logistical details. The price varies depending on the religious rituals that you might opt to include and the type of casket purchased.

Our professional funeral service team will walk you through the cost, item by item, to help you decide the package best tailored to your needs. For some, the costs of holding a funeral service might be overbearing. In these cases, let us know and we can figure out how to meet your needs and financial constraints. We never want money to hinder anyone from sending off their loved ones in the dignified manner they deserve.

It is very important to decide on the funeral home of choice. Choosing a funeral service provider like Divine Casket Singapore will help you manage the entire funeral service process, including the logistics, setup and documentation required.

You will also need to obtain a Certificate of Cause of Death (CCOD), which is then used to register the death either at the Neighbourhood Police Centre or the Citizen Services Centre at ICA Building. You will receive a death certificate which is required to make arrangements for the funeral, burial or cremation.

You will need to decide the number of days, the location of the wake, type of casket, whether you want to conduct a land/sea burial or cremation for the deceased.

The funeral service package consists of embalming to preserve the deceased body for the open casket, setting up the funeral parlour or memorial hall, arranging the proceedings and rituals to be conducted during the funeral (depending on religion and traditions), as well as the ancillary services, like transportation, catering, floral arrangements and funeral wreaths. We also do repatriation of the deceased to and from Singapore. Divine Casket Singapore can also arrange for land burial, sea burial and cremation.

We understand families’ need for expediting funeral service planning and we can work around extremely short timelines to put a funeral service together. Contact us right now to get a walkthrough and quote.

Land burial is extremely limited due to land scarcity. The only cemetery available is Choa Chu Kang Cemetery Complex where the burial period is limited to 15 years. Sea burials are an available option as well.

Yes, sea burials are allowed in Singapore off Pulau Semakau. Divine Casket Singapore can arrange all the logistics for a sea burial.

Embalming is a procedure done to slow the decomposition of a dead body so that the funeral can be delayed for several days while cosmetic works are done. This helps preserve the dead body in a serene and dignified state during the funeral and wake services.

Our team also consists of female embalmers who help to preserve female bodies in the most pristine and elegant state, out of respect to them.

Divine Casket Singapore was established by one of Singapore’s most respected embalmers – Silvester. If you are looking for a trusted, certified and well-regarded embalming service, Divine Casket Singapore is your top choice. Contact us to find out more.
